"Maroon slacks" -- I think that somewhere in Lolita the phrase "maroon moron" occurs, which might suggest something about Charlotte's character.
"Yellow silk blouse" -- in Shakespeare's time the color yellow signified marital infidelity or unorthodox sexuality (cf. Malvolio's yellow hose in Twelfth Night).
