A new book containing articles and interviews of the Russian refugee-tycoon
Boris Berezovsky was presented to Russian journalists on Wednesday. The
press-conference was not advertised and took place in a low-key student cafe in
downtown Moscow.

Curiously, the event was not advertised by any of the Russian news agencies.
MosNews learned about it through a publication on a private website.

The book, titled “Boris Berezovsky: the Art of the Impossible” was released by
the Nezavisimaya Gazeta publishing house, and consists of three volumes with
articles organized by subjects and in chronological order. It covers the period
from 1991 until 2004.

A spokesman for the Nezavisimaya Gazeta publishing house , Demyan Kudryavtsev,
said at the presentation that the revenues from the book sales will be used to
finance the publishing of other books, such as Nabokov’s lectures on
literature. There was initial difficulty in finding a printing shop that would
agree to work with Berezovsky’s book. The book is selling much better than
expected, the spokesman said.

Boris Berezovsky, a former Kremlin insider currently in exile in London with a
warrant out for his arrest on a number of charges, could not be present in
person and answered journalists’ questions over the telephone.

Among others, journalists asked about Berezovsky’s prospects for the future of
the country and the 2008 elections. The oligarch said that he sees the future
of the country as grim while President Putin remains in power. He was also
doubtful about the elections being held at all.

Berezovsky said that he felt comfortable in England and that the only thing he
missed about Russia was snow.
