The First Third Millenium International Vladimir Nabokov Conference took
place on the editor's patio on Sunday, August 27 2000. In attendence were
Galia Diment, President of the International Society, Shoko Miura of the
Japanese Nabokov Society, Olga Kaznina of Moscow State University, author of

The opening (and only) report was by President Diment who showed a photo
from a book on Igor Stravinsky. The picture, "Dance of the Adolescents,"
from the composer's famed "Rite of Spring." Stravinsky's caption describes
the dancers "A group of knock-kneed and long-braided Lolitas jumping up and
down."
