yes, that "poshlustish" name is anna karina, which she constructed for
the screen, as her real name is Hanna Karin Blarke Bayer (she was
danish). she also happened to be goddard's girlfriend and star actress
for a number of his important films in the 60s, notably his sci-fi
classic alphaville. as for tony richardson, he only made one good film,
to look back in anger (which stars richard burton as a hot jazz
musician!), the rest of his output can and should be forgotten.
