Nabokov & Prokofiev in Russia (fwd)

It seems that Nabokov did have a readership inside Russia even during
Stalin's period after all(though it must be remembered that Prokofiev was
one of those who had been enticed back into Russia following the October
revolution. Nabokov refers to Prokofiev once in this context['They had
more success with the composer Prokofiev.'])

>From Edvard Radzhinsky's Stalin(Page 506):
'Out at his dacha Prokofiev locked himself in his study and burned the
works of his favourite author, Nabokov, and a complete set of the magazine
America.'

Cheers!
