I should like add to Don Johnson's announcement that the very amusing
material on Browning's door and Gogol has been arranged for publication (in
the Spring issue of The Nabokovian) by Mr Blackwell who contributed the
most important piece. The exchange will go largely unedited. Since the
entire thing is but a curious triflet, to seek a true nihil obstat would be
a little absurd, but of course if someone should prefer not to be mentioned
by name (or at all), the name or the entire contribution would be taken
out.
