Welcome back to foolish April

Dear List,

Doughty or not, here I come! I've missed you, and it's nice to be back.
And thanks to stalwart Stephen for his stewardship for the past three
months!

Regarding April Fool's, Sandy Dreschler writes:

April 1 is a setting in "Mary"

And I hasten to remind everyone of these lines from Despair:

No, I have not gone mad. I am merely producing gleeful little sounds. The
kind of glee one experiences upon making an April fool of someone. And a
damned good fool I *have* made of someone. Who is he? Gentle reader, look
at yourself in the mirror, as you seem to like mirrors so much.
