The author of Bubentsy ("Little Bells"), the popular romance (Slyshu zvon bubentsov izdalyoka...) mentioned in my previous post, is A. Kusikov (Sandro Kusikyan, 1896-1977), not Blok. G. Ivanov (goluboy vorishka who makes Blok's black music fall on the white shyning snow) is to blame! Kusikov's poem was set to music by Bakaleynikov (the author's brother-in-law). Kusikov was immortalized by VN's "late namesake": Est' mnogo vkusov i vkusikov, odnim nravlyus' ya, a drugim Kusikov (tastes differ: there are people who like me and there are others who like Kusikov).

Neither Bologna (sic!), nor "baloney" have anything to do with Ada's swoony-baloony skirt.

For those with short memory: Peter de Rast + tiran + a = pederast + Antiterra (tiran - Russ., tyrant)
