In answer to the below....the most trustworthy VN editions for the English novels is the three volume Library of America set with  Brian Boyd's annotations. Otherwise--the  Vintage paperbacks  are best. The Russian edition is the 10 volume Symposium edition (St-. Petersburg).

     Are the Vintage editions of Nabokov's work considered the most
authoritative? They are the only ones I can find in bookstores, and, as I
know Nabokov complained of various editorial blunders in certain editions of
his novels, I want to be sure they are the best before I buy them. Thanks.
