once sang that she was not a girl and not yet a woman, but tomorrow,
Britney Spears can rewrite that hit song while toasting herself with
her first legal glass of Cristal: The perky pop tart is turning 21.
Spears has been struggling to erase her bubble-gum chewing,
Pepsi-drinking image into something more mature.
The girl whom Camille Paglia once called "Lolita on aerobics" has
certainly been acting more like an adult - for better or worse.
Lately, she's more likely to show up at celebrity events wearing
Versace couture rather than tight crop-tops and jeans.
