Hello all,
I have always wondered about the sentence within Laughter in the Dark, upon 
Margot's looking on the tag of Albinus's hat in hopes of 
finding "Schiffermiller"'s real name.  After locating his real identity, 
Margot then "sped through the R's" of the telephone book in search of his 
address (which she correctly finds).  Is there any reason for her to be 
within the R's?  A typo, placed in all editions?  I would swiftly brush it 
off as a typo had the letter R not been italicized in my ed. (Vintage, 
1989) and had Axel's last name not been beginning with an R (though Margot 
does not know this as of yet).  Maybe a manipulation with the sole purpose 
of amusing its creator?  Just a fun thought.
