Perhaps Vladimir Soloviev and the reference to Blok's Soloveichicks (nightingale, as I just learned) plus the "three meetings" by Soloviev  might be of use to apply to the readings of  "Signs and Symbols" ( weren't they  ranked among the Symbolist poets?) 
 
 This is way beyond my ken but perhaps someone will be interested in pursuing this trail...
