Library celebrates Banned Books Week
 
The Carnegie-Stout Public Library in observance of Banned Books Week, Sept. 27 through Oct. 4, will have available multiple copies of Vladimir Nabokov's 1955 classic novel "Lolita" and Azar Nafisi's 2003 memoir "Reading Lolita in Tehran."
 
At 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, the library will host a free screening of Stanley Kubrick's 1962 movie "Lolita." Paul Kohl, associate professor of communication arts at Loras College, will introduce the movie and open discussion will be encouraged after the show.
