Thanks Elaine M and Eric H. Yr comments crossed my longer explanations
to Carolyn K that Dr Dodgson would have had no trouble writing FRICE
or saying FRICE, or maybe FR-FR-FR-FRICE, after 4 attempts!

Ditto with France Fritters, FREEBIE ("Alice, can I be FRANK
with you?" "O please, Uncle Charlie's so rough!") and,
during the Christmas Sermons, Frankincense.

Just to add that we Cantabs consider ALL Oxons to have speech and
brain defects.
