Dear List,

 

It is cold enough in New England today that it really feels like fall, not to say winter -- the perfect time for me to thank Stephen Blackwell for his deft management of NABOKV-L over the last three months and to take his place for the last quarter of the year.  (By the way, I recommend Steve's book The Quill and the Scalpel, which I have enjoyed reading during the hiatus.)
