Probably already noted: Thomas Karshan’s brilliant reviews of three books about VN in current TLS (Feb 4, 2011, No. 5627) Particularly percipient re-Michael Maar’s Speak, Nabokov. My order for TK’s monogram is en route.

PS: Listening (and re-listening) to Pale Fire, the audio-book, is a mixed blessing, as one can imagine! Following CK’s non-linear advice on consulting his footnotes/comments before, during and after the Cantos is impractical. On the other hand, Shade as Poet comes over better than I had pre-judged from my own reading. Nevertheless, listening undoubtedly reveals more of VN
In CK than it does of VN in JS.
