My initial post regarding "Nabokov and Music" was an attempt to find in VN's indirectly applicable statements, both personal and in his fiction, whether or not they might provide evidence of how the man's mind worked and how the unique attributes of his cognitive facilities (if they could be so revealed) might have contributed to his confessed lack of connection with the qualities of music.  I would be delighted to know if those with knowledge of the instances I cited felt that they were in any way revealing, in whole or in part.  And, if not, why not?
