Victor Bromberg, the distinguished literary scholar (Yale and Princeton, makes passing mention of VN in his memoir _Trains of Thought_. The son of a wealthy Russian-Jewish family that became stateless (but still relatively affluent) European emigres in the Twenties, Bromberg remarks that  the yong Nabokov taught one of Bromberg's cousins to play tennis and that VN was related by marriage to the family of Bromberg pere.
