  I know this is a bit off-topic.  I am planning to re-read Tolstoy's 'War and Peace' and would like to hear your opinions on the best translation/s of the novel. Several years ago I read the Penguin edition, translated by Rosemary Edmonds, and loved it.  I know there are 3 or 4 major translations.
