I took up your challenge to look for a
coded message in the false Chimène quote. I haven't worked it out
completely but it seems to work somewhat along the lines of the "Pada ata"
message in Pale Fire. So far I have been able to discern the
following message:
"Party, dear - - atonement. Come,
Carmen"
There also might to be an elf(instone?) and a bow in it. There
might be another embedded message.
Dunno.
