Call for papers for the MLA Annual Meeting, Philadelphia, PA, Dec. 28-30, 2006

1.  Critical Issues in Nabokov Scholarship: any topic addressing
interpretive strategies, theoretical issues, the relationship of
Nabokov's fiction to his personal statements and/or essays, etc. 1-page
abstracts or 20-min. papers by 1 Mar.; Ellen Pifer (epifer@udel.edu).
2.  Open Session of the International Vladimir Nabokov Society.   Any topic will be eligible for consideration.  Send 1-page abstracts or 20-minute papers by 1 March to Julian Connolly, Slavic Dept., University of Virginia, PO Box 400783, Charlottesville, VA 22904--4783 (jwc4w@virginia.edu).

Call for papers for the AATSEEL National Meeting, Philadelphia, PA, Dec. 28-30, 2006

The Call for Papers for the 2006 National Meeting to be held in Philadelphia, PA on December 28-30 has now been posted on the AATSEEL Website (www.aatseel.org).

Scholars are welcome to submit abstracts for a specific panel (or panels) or
to the conference as a whole. The Program Committee will find a panel for
every abstract accepted.

As in past years, abstract submission deadlines are 15 April and 1 August.
The first deadline allows for revision and resubmission of abstracts, should
reviewers deem that necessary. The second deadline does not allow for
resubmission.

as published program and abstracts from past years, please consult the
AATSEEL website (http://www.aatseel.org).
