As some of you know, I have toyed with incest in ADA and its literary forbearers. The TLS of Sept 16 (2005) has a capsule review of  "Incest & Agency in Elizabeth's England" by Maureen Quilligan. The reviewer cites some interesting examples from Shakespeare, esp. VN's favorite "King Lear." Might be worth looking into.   Don Johnson
