The editors, and many other "scholars," hope that on Nabokv-L the sholarly and the merely 'serious' can blend happily, along with a healthy dose of the "ironic" and even occasionally the "tongue-in-cheek"---which epithet, given the quality of Mary Krimmel's contributions over the years, I'm sure describes the remark above.
