VN had a lot of things in mind when he wrote Pale
Fire and I don't see why this poem can not be one of them. I confess I didn't
ponder the novel seriously, but, as I had said you (off list), I
like your solution according to which Shade, Kinbote and Gradus are one and
the same person.
