A question of obscure interest:

I came across this poem by William Matthews (probably many people on the
list have seen it before), called "Nabokov's Blues."

http://www.poetryfoundation.org/archive/poem.html?id=26734

One detail leaps out from the fourth stanza: in one photograph at the
exhibit, VN is shown writing with his left hand. (the poet: "left handed!
why did I never trouble / to find out?") But VN seems to be right-handed in
the photographs I've seen (including two on Zembla:
http://www.libraries.psu.edu/nabokov/abvn.htm). Is there a photograph out
there where VN is pretending to be left-handed? Or a photo where the image
was reversed, like the famous Hank Aaron baseball card? Any explanations?
