You wrote: Azure means blue. Only secondarily does it connote sky. A thing is either blue, or it isn't. It can't be "falsely" blue.  Another good point. And yet, in one of PF's translations I found "false azure" being interpreted as "deceiving blueness". My familiarity with English is not sufficient to sustain that this interpretation might be also correct, but I thought it worthwhile to bring up here.
