As some list members already know, the new Russian edition of Nabokov's plays and essays on theater came out a couple of weeks ago.  It was compiled and edited by Andrei Babikov, who also wrote a rich introductory essay.  Nabokov's essays on theater, originally written in English, are translated by Babikov and Sergei Ilyin.  Dmitri Nabokov's essay "Nabokov and Theater" is included as well, tranlsated by A. Glebovskaya.  There are 95 pages of annotations by Babikov.  Most importantly, this volume presents the first-ever full Russian publication of The Man from the USSR, of which previously only the first act appeared in 1927, in Rul'.  It also includes the conclusion Nabokov to Pushkin's "Rusalka".  ~Stephen Blackwell
