At the risk of seeming a pedant, I would like to
make a correction. Pushkin's lines Dobra chuzhogo ne zhelat' / Ty, bozhe,
mne povelevaesh' can be translated as "God, you command that I shall not covet a stranger's property." If
you don't remember this poem ("The Tenth Commandment"), in the lines that
follow Pushkin confesses that sometimes he cannot make himself not to covet
his neighbor's wife (in the Orthodox religion the tenth Commandment reads: "you
shall not covet your neighbor's house or your neighbor's
wife").
