Logan's Knight
Scripter on Bond-esque comedy.
May 22, 2009 - Screenwriter David Logan has been brought in by Paramount to rewrite Sebastian Knight, the tale of a CIA agent who has to summon his inner Bond when a one-night stand of his becomes a stalker.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the film is being produced by John Goldwyn and Lorne Michaels, so obviously we're looking at a comedy here rather than some kind of hardcore 007 meets Fatal Attraction tale. Presumably the film has nothing to do with Nabokov's novel The Real Life of Sebastian Knight. No doubt its target audience has never heard of Nabokov anyway.
Meanwhile, Logan has also been hired by Articulus Entertainment to adapt the Ken Bruen novel Once Were Cops. That story is about a pair of "unbalanced" New York police officers "cutting their way through the city's criminal underworld."
Logan recently handled a rewrite on the Matthew McConaughey picture Hammer Down and he also has an original script called The Rip in development.
