For those of you who like me were puzzled
by the strange absence of references (the footnotes, or rather
"endnotes," were there all right, funny) in the text (its second part)
of my article that had just appeared in Topos: the problem has
been eliminated and all the snoski (references)
restored.
I apologize for the multitude of epigraphs
(quite a cloud of them). Yet, if I could, I would add one more: Ot
vashey liry predvizhu mnogo ya dobra ("I forsee a lot of good
[things] from your lyre"), Book-seller saying this to Poet
in the closing lines of Pushkin's "Conversation of the Book-seller with the
Poet" (1824). Dobro means here both "good things" and
"profit."
