EDNote: The editors agree that Alexey's participation and scholarship are valuable and of great interest to many subscribers, and we hope that he will reconsider his withdrawal from the Nabokov world.  We also hope that his translation of Ada will be published.  However, Mary Efremov's message below will be the last public comment NAB-L will post on the matter, and we request that further expressions of support be sent directly to Alexey.  If we receive any, we will forward them to him.  ~SB

I agree, the politics of the publishing world were always there, your work IS important and you should stay and forge ahead. The disappointment may be transient and you should stay and continue, it is the work that is important. If we lose you, we lose a good insightful mind.
