My eagle-eyed wife noticed in the theater last night that Pale Fire makes an appearance about 45 minutes into Spike Jonze's science fiction romance film "Her". Pale Fire appears to be one of the few books owned by the main protagonist of the film, Theodore Twombly; the recent Vintage US paperback edition is prominently displayed in the top right corner of a couple of shots. The film won a 2014 Golden Globe award for Best Screenplay (Motion Picture) last night.
