Dear Nabokovians,
As most readers know, Stephen Jan Parker retired from his position
as Editor of
The Nabokovian in December, after
thirty-five years of service to the Society he founded. This
year's issues, numbers 72 and 73, are dedicated in his honor.
Society members are invited to submit brief notes celebrating his
contributions to our field. This year is likely the final year
that
The Nabokovian will be issued as a print journal, as
the Vladimir Nabokov Society's Board of Directors has decided that
it should become electronic-only beginning in 2015. Also, please
note that all scholarly submissions to
The Nabokovian will
be peer-reviewed for these issues and going forward. This change
is intended to encourage high quality and also to clarify the
peer-review status of articles and notes, in conformity with
professional standards for tenure and promotion. We aim to make
these issues honoring Steve Parker among the best that have
appeared since the Society's beginning in 1979. I hope that many
of you will contribute some small gems you have squirreled away to
the "Notes and Brief Annotations" section on this special
occasion. Please see section editor Priscilla Meyer's call for
submissions, below.
Stephen Blackwell, Interim Editor

COMMENTARIES section of THE NABOKOVIAN. The deadline for the
