[EDNOTE.  Yuri Leving sends this happy birthday news.  Congratulations, Steve!   :) SES.]

Dear all,

It is our pleasure to announce that Stephen H. Blackwell was voted the
winner of the 2013 prize for the Best Scholarly Contribution in the
area of Nabokov Studies with his book, The Quill and the Scalpel:
Nabokov's Art and the Worlds of Science (2009).

The second floor of the Shakespeare and Company was fully packed
tonight as we have celebrated the double anniversary of Nabokov and
Shakespeare during the book launch of Lolita – The Story of a Cover
Girl: Vladimir Nabokov’s Novel in Art and Design (2013), and Shades of
Laura: Vladimir Nabokov’s Last Novel, The Original of Laura (2013).

The official announcement has been posted here:

Thanks to everyone who participated in the voting this year and we
invite you to submit the new titles for the 2014 competition.

Sincerely,
