Dear List,
Who were "Diron Frieders" and "Mark Hamburg", or the authors of "tasteless parody" Nabokov vs Wilson  from "The New York Times book review" (1972. January 16, p. 40)?
(See "The New York Times archive: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9F00E7DB173DE53ABC4E52DFB7668389669EDE).
Nabokov mentioned this "phony names of one or two facetious undergraduates, judging by the style and piffle" in his letter to John Leonard, editor of "The New York Times" (reprinted in "Strong Opinions".)

Was it John Leonard, editor of "The New York Times"?!!

Тhanks in advance
