A.Sklyarenko: "She, too, had "known the moves", and had loved the en passant trick as one loves a new toy, but it cropped up so seldom, though he tried to prepare those magic positions where the ghost of a pawn can be captured on the square it has crossed". ( TOoL ,card Two, 15)
JM: Great cross-reference, A.S. Now I realize why there were two penciled question-marks, as regards "Gogol/TOoL" and their basic rhythm or allusional inductions. They simply indicated redoubled puzzlement.
S K-B [ to AS]: "Your next mission...Find passages in TOoL that effectively give ANAGRAMMATIC permission to Vera and DN to override VN's last Will...
JM: As you know, in Oxford and in Bacon, that (the author's I) is the question.
