QUERY: Nabokov on transitions

I am writing with a question. Somewhere in Nabokov's non-fiction --
perhaps Lectures on Literature, or the Eugene Onegin commentary, or the
Gogol book -- there are a few pages explicating the different types
(number: 5?) of transitions in fiction.

I read it long ago and would love to find it again. I've searched online
and come up empty. Would anyone happen to know where it is?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
