Dear Dmitri,

I was referring specifically to your communication of 19 December 2005,
which I reproduce below. What have I "disremembered", or what was
unclear?

I did reply to your communication of 19 December (at your private email
address), asking just what you meant by "the 'phantom
"around-the-corner" 1000th line", but you did not reply. I can send a
copy of this too, if this would help.

With warm regards,

Anthony Stadlen

Don,

One has the right to question or to deflate anything, of course. If it
helps, however, my father told me that an author is omniscient and
omnipotent. He also pointed out to me, very early on, the phantom
"around-the-corner" 1000th line.

My most cordial Holiday greetings to all!

Best, D
