Dear Sandy Drescher
You wrote: "If we are to believe Martin Gardner's various analyses of coincidence, it will not be a surprise to learn that Jansy and Carolyn also share the same birthday, had an uncle named Robert, and own Grey Toyotas." It seems that I arrived too late to share in the party, but you are right. Carolyn and I must certainly share an ESP ghostly feature. While she was writing about my sentence on a "pile of verses" by mentioning Swift, on the other side of the continent I was getting a can of viennese sausages arranged in a random pile with a side of mustard ( its brand: "Swift" came on top of it all).
Ain't it amazing? ( I was very proud of this coincidence but found no fairy wisdom lurking in it)

If we are to believe Martin Gardner's various analyses of coincidence,
it will not be a surprise to learn that Jansy and Carolyn also share
the same birthday, had an uncle named Robert, and own Grey Toyotas.

FWIW Department: VN's appreciation of RLS extended beyond his boyhood
enjoyment of Treasure Island and adult critique of J/H. In "On Some
Technical Elements of Style in Literature"
[http://www.intuitive.com/library/ArtofWriting.shtml], he found ideas
shared and admired.
