EDITOR's NOTE. Christine Rydel has in preparation a WHO's WHO in VN's
fiction whence the references at the bottom. BTW, I note VN published a
Russian translation of Baudelaire's "Albatross" in 1924.

I have had a query about Baudelaire references in VN's writings.
I have sent the inquirer citations to John Burt Foster's book on VN &
European Modernism and Annapaola Cancogni's book on French subtexts in
Ada.

Does anyone know of other useful sources? Articles? Thank you.

Hi, Don--
This may be too elementary for this query, but here is a list of
all the references to Baudelaire in the fiction:

ADA--p. 577--Ada translated B. into English and Russian
PALE FIRE--pp. 167, 291
GIFT--p. 213
LOLITA--pp. 286, 164; allusion to B. in "Brother!", p. 264
LOLITA SCREENPLAY--pp. 50, 64.

I have not found any others.
