A new version of Zembla is now available at

http://www.libraries.psu.edu/iasweb/nabokov/nsintro.htm.

(Note that the URL of the main page has not changed, so Bookmarks to it will
still work.)

This new version, the first step in a metamorphosis to a completely
redesigned site, is largely a matter of style rather than substance, but
there are a few new tidbits: a new chapter from Dr. Kinbote (with 2 more on
the way soon); new original graphics by Sarah Anastasia Hahn; and a
restructured and updated Zembliography with many more citations coming soon.

Comments invited. I am especially interested in bringing the Zembliography
closer to comprehensiveness, so I encourage additions. Please have a look
and notify me of any missing or incorrect citations.

The next installment of Zembla Reprints will feature an article on Zashchita
Luzhina/The Defense. This will in all likelihood be a translation from the
Russian. I have an idea of which article it will be, but I am eager to hear
from NABOKV-L subscribers who know of particularly insightful and
well-written scholarly essays in Russian on Zashchita Luzhina/The Defense.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to lay to rest once and for
all a particularly noxious rumor. Despite my association with the good
professor, I am not Kinbote's catamite, just his erstwhile ping-pong partner.
