I'm sure many readers of this forum caught the NY Times Science article today
on the validity of VN's butterfly research ("Latin American Blues"). I liked
the slightly astonished tone of the piece -- gosh, how can it be, a guy who
straddled arts'n'sciences. The "bigamy" comparison, referring to lit. and
lepidop. , strikes me as unfortunate, but hey, the faintest whisper of a
suggestion of a subtle hint that maybe, just maybe, LO's creator was a perv
after all sells books. To this day.
