Early in the ineffably egregious new film SPEED 2, a couple is
shown watching the face of James Mason on a TV screen. It is a scene
from Stanley Kubrick's version of LOLITA, and it is not clear what the
scene contributes to the rest of the outer movie, except to remind
audiences that screenplays do not have to be as inane as the one for this
expensive Hollywood paroxysm.
