Ada Annotations to 2.7 and AdaOnline to 2.5

Dear Nabokovians,

 

A new instalment of the Ada annotations, 2.7, including a fart joke you may have missed, is now available on the website here. That makes 50 chapters—oof! And simultaneously, 2.5 now becomes available on AdaOnline, a long and dense chapter with many illustrations.

 

Thanks once again to Steve Blackwell and Diana Makhaldiani for meticulous corrections and astute suggestions.

 

Seminar with Julie Loison-Charles (in English)

IVNS Board Condemns Putin Regime's Invasion of Ukraine

The Board of the International Vladimir Nabokov Society condemns the Putin regime’s invasion of Ukraine as an act of aggression against a sovereign state. We stand with the Ukrainian people during these dark times and reiterate our commitment to the close personal and professional links with all our Ukrainian and Russian fellow Nabokov scholars, colleagues and friends who oppose Putin’s war against Ukraine.

Prizes for Scholarly Writing on Nabokov 2022

The International Vladimir Nabokov Society is currently seeking submissions for its 2022 Prizes, generously funded by the Vladimir Nabokov Literary Foundation, for excellence in undergraduate and graduate-level work, published articles, and books. Work can be self-nominated. Instructors are invited to nominate students. The deadline for nominations is April 30th, 2022. The list of prizes can be viewed here.

Founded in 1978, the IVNS exists to promote the study and appreciation of Nabokov's work and awards prizes each year for outstanding essays and books in the field of Nabokov Studies.
