Probably Vladimir Nabokov is an omnipresence in all kinds of literary works - while I'm the patient person who underlines even the vaguest reference I find. Today I was sorting out old or bettered books and opened at random Katharine Weber's "The Music Lesson" (Phoenix pb.1999).
"But I've always known him. Mickey is the light of my life, the fire of my loins... He is only twenty-five years old and I am forty-one - not quite Humbert Humbert, but this is a little shocking and I am a little shocked..."(p.32)
