For some reason I was unable to search the Archives today to retrieve both messages from our SES concerning her toast commemorating Nabokov's "211" anniversary.
I rather enjoyed her lapsus which transported us a hundred years hence, with no doubts about there being humans, readers and Nabokovians alive and quicking in that "Fulmerford, who?" century.
While roaming to find SES's text, I came accross a reference to "Timelessness". For those who are interested in pursuing this subject further, here it is: Brian Boyd "Nabokov, Time, and Timelessness: A Reply to Martin Hagglundui ",New Literary History - Volume 37, Number 2, Spring 2006, pp. 469-478.The Johns Hopkins University Press.
