nabokov is a new writing theatre company dedicated to commissioning, developing and producing backlash theatre - new work for the stage that offers an antagonistic response to contemporary agendas, trends and events.Since 2001, we have produced critically acclaimed productions in the Eastern Region, London, Edinburgh and on tour. We aim to discover and nurture new talent through events, workshops, readings, education and literary programmes. Key to this aim is our development forum shorts, which offers cross-disciplinary artists the opportunity to test new work in front of an audience and receive constructive feedback.

Thank you Arts Clubbers
Wow. That was cool, huh? Lashings of thanks to everyone who turned out for the launch of The nabokov Arts Club on Saturday. We hope you had a ball. We certainly did. Heaps of praise too for all the amazing artists who performed, and all the staff and volunteers who worked so hard to make it happen. We are indebted, truly.To everyone who got in the spirit and dug deep and donated on the night, thank you. We salute you. Thanks to your generosity we very nearly hit our break even target. A few of you have said you forgot, or didn't have cash, so if that was you or you'd like to donate a few extra quid we'd be thrilled if you would. You can do so here. We're desperate to make it a regular thing, and if we can balance the books on this one, we sure will.You can find loads of awesome photos of the event on our Flickr page courtesy of ace snapper Chike.
