Dear List,
Once again NABOKV-L will honor the anniversary of VN's birthday, which (after adjusting for differences between Gregorian and Julian calendars) falls on Monday, April 23.
We hope you'll join us by gathering, creating, and orchestrating postings to the List that will be distributed throughout the preceding weekend, beginning on Friday, April 20. Please consider sending anecdotes, images, jokes, parodies, surprises, memories, toasts, greetings, best wishes, and whatever else seems appropriate to you at any time between now and April 23. In honor of the occasion, we hereby designate a new subject heading abbreviation for such posts: BIRTHDAY.
Last year's tributes were moving, amusing, and beautiful. We look forward to this year's celebration!
