QUERY: Pamuk's essay "Cruelty, Beauty, and Time" and VN

Wondering about a reference in the essay - Pamuk writes: "our only defense
against life's cruelties is Nabokov's fine symmetries, his sefl-referential
jokes and mirror games, his celebration of light (to which this always
exceedingly self-aware writer referred to as a "prismatic Babel"), and his
prose...
I know that Prismatic Bezel is a fictional book from Sebastian Knight... I'm
wondering about this reference to Babel.
Does anyone know where Pamuk uses this reference - Prismatic Babel? Is it in
an essay or one of his works of fiction. My hunch is that it is in Istanbul...
Many thanks!
