The problem with "C"

Dear Anthony Stadlen,

You are basically right - - the c/s k/s ambiguity does not originate in the
Greek alphabet, or at least not in a simple way.

For those curious about this curious problem, any encyclopedia should have
an entry for "C" which explains it. According to my Encyclopedia Britannica
it has something to do with Etruscan cursive script.
